Salon Policies

Please read through these policies and familiarize yourself before booking your session.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable tanning experience for all clients while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and promoting awareness of the potential risks associated with tanning bed use.

    1. Health and Safety Precautions

    Medical Conditions

    Clients with medical conditions such as lupus, vitiligo, or photosensitivity should consult a physician before tanning. Pregnant women are advised to seek medical advice before using tanning beds.

    Medications and Photosensitivity

    Clients must inform staff of any medications they are taking that may increase photosensitivity (e.g., antibiotics, acne treatments), as these can heighten the risk of adverse reactions.

    1. Conduct and Etiquette

    Behavior

    Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of membership or session privileges.

    -WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE BUT WE REALLY DON’T WANT TO EXERCISE THAT RIGHT UNLESS WE HAVE TO.

    Tampering with the tanning equipment is prohibited. Misuse of equipment will result in cancellation of tanning privileges and permanently banned from the premises.

    1. Membership and Payment Policies

    Memberships are a 12 month agreement

    Memberships are charged monthly on the date of membership purchase via credit card on file

    Membership Cancellation:

    Members must communicate via by phone or in person that they wish to cancel their membership. Cancellations will not be honored via social media. No refunds will be issued for unused sessions or packages.

    1. Late Arrivals and No-Shows

    Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late may forfeit their session. No-shows may incur a fee or loss of the scheduled session.

    1. Liability Disclaimer

    The salon is not liable for adverse effects resulting from tanning bed use, including but not limited to burns, skin irritation, or reactions to lotions or sanitizing products. Clients assume full responsibility for their health and safety during tanning sessions.

    1. Emergency Procedures

    In case of an emergency or equipment malfunction, immediately notify a staff member.

SALON POLICIES:

ALL PUBLIC AREAS WHERE LEGAL ARE UNDER MONITORED SURVEILLANCE TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW (EXCEPTIONS ARE RESTROOMS & TANNING ROOMS) FOR YOUR SAFETY.

AS A GENERAL PRACTICE WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON SERVICES OR PRODUCTS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

We accept walk-ins if only we have a room available, we encourage everyone to book their session online at www.contourtanbar.com, this guarantees your session time.

Our last appointments are booked NO LATER than 15 minutes before closing time. Walk-ins are not accepted past this time.

Tanning Bed User Policy:

  1. General Policy Statement

Our salon is committed to providing a safe, clean, and enjoyable tanning experience for all clients. To ensure safety and compliance with FDA regulations, we require all clients to adhere to the guidelines outlined below.

  1. Age Restrictions

Clients must be at least 18 years of age to use tanning beds. Valid photo identification is required for age verification.

NO CHILDREN UNDER 14 ALLOWED IN TANNING ROOMS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Children age 12 and under are NOT to be left unsupervised in lobby

Failure to comply with these restrictions will result in cancellation of salon benefits and proper authorities to be notified.

  1. Safety Guidelines

Eye Protection

FDA-approved protective eyewear must be worn at all times while using tanning beds to prevent eye injuries. The salon provides compliant goggles for purchase, or clients may bring their own, provided they meet FDA standards.

Session Limits

Tanning sessions are limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. Clients should follow recommended exposure times for their specific skin type and avoid using the maximum exposure time during their initial session to prevent burns.

A minimum of 24 hours is required between tanning sessions, per FDA guidelines.

ONE PERSON PER ROOM, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Frequency of Tanning

After developing a tan, clients should limit tanning sessions to no more than once a week. Depending on individual skin type, maintaining a tan may be achievable with sessions every 2-3 weeks.

  1. Hygiene and Cleanliness

Bed Sanitization

All tanning beds are thoroughly sanitized by staff after each use to maintain a hygienic environment.

Personal Hygiene

Clients are encouraged to shower before and after tanning. Showering is recommended for optimal results and hygiene.
